What happens to him and Anga, is the story of every soldier disfigured—bodily or mentally--by war. But Asoka was a powerful king. History, with a beautiful love story

One of the most convincing story depicting how an emperor, who led a number of military conquests, became a Budhist and dedicated rest of his life to propogation of Budhism. A remarkable book, combines history with imagination. Well done!
