Success Secrets of the Online Marketing Superstars

I bought this book for my wife but after having looked at it I should have bought some flowers instead.

The book was bilge water but for those who watch the gurus of e-marketing the classic formula for e-book selling has been followed to the letter.

Really great ad copy to move the book (sell the sizzle not the steak) and use the book as a thinly veiled advertisement pushing the products of all the gurus who "generously" supplied content.

For the unititiated I would suggest this. Go to each of the websites of those marketers mentioned in the book or the teaser copy. What you will find is the same names popping up on all of the different websites. This is because they each act as an endorsement for the others product.

Go to Mitch's website and you will see the "usual suspects" endorsing this book as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then go to one of their's and you will find Mitch endorsing their product as the greatest thing since sliced bread. It takes a while to spot the mechanics but before to long you to will learn the secrect too cross-plugging and expert endorsements for fame and fortune.

It reminds me a little of the old Shakesperian acting troupes where the same five or six actors toured together. In each play it was the same actors only playing different parts.

I also suspect that those who have provided glowing reviews are either new to this game or are schmoozing for an endorsement of their own product by one of the big fish.

Bottom line- save your money. And remember how this game works the next time you get one of those "You've just got to see this" emails touting a new product from one of the "usual suspects".

This is how you take dishwater and turn it into an overnight best seller. Which ever one of these guys who's turn it is to shear the sheep this month simply has the other guys who are waiting their turn at bat blast their mail list with a glowing revue and a "to good to resist" offer. The groupies and the newbies fork out the shekels enmasse while the gurus begin work on their sheep shearing best seller.

This book follows Mel Rosen's life from the streets of Brooklyn during the 1930s and 1940s to his selection as head coach of the United States track-and-field team for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. The story describes how a Jewish kid from Brighton Beach, New York, followed his dream to become the head track-and-field coach at Auburn University for 28 years. Rosen's achievements there were extraordinary. He coached seven Olympians and 143 All-Americans and guided Auburn's track-and-field team to four consecutive Southeastern Conference indoor championships. The pinnacle of his career was coaching U.S. Olympians to a record 20 medals in Barcelona. As a result of his impressive achievements, Rosen was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (1993), the U.S. Track and Field Hall of Fame (1995), and the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (1994). Auburn University honored him in 2006 by naming its new track the Hutsell-Rosen Track.

Author Craig Darch interviewed many of Rosen's former athletes and fellow coaches. Included are comments from football/baseball superstar Bo Jackson, legendary football coach Pat Dye, and Olympic medalists Harvey Glance, Willie Smith, and Carl Lewis. Most importantly, the book relies on the memories of Mel Rosen, his family, his Brighton Beach "buddies," and other friends he made along the way. It details Rosen's coaching career during the turbulent 1950s and 1960s. Included are lively vignettes about Auburn sports history, Alabama history, Jews in the South, and the Olympics. The story is an intimate, anecdote-rich portrait of a man who achieved excellence both as a track coach and as a person.

About the Author
Craig Darch is the Humana-Sherman-Germany Distinguished Professor of Special Education at Auburn University. He earned his doctorate at the University of Oregon and has taught at Auburn for 32 years. While this is his first biography, he has coauthored three college-level textbooks on learning and intellectual disabilities and has published more than 60 research articles for professional journals in the fields of special education and psychology. He has contributed chapters to three edited books and has written articles on special education for three encyclopedias.

Harvey Glance is an Olympic gold-medal athlete who was trained by Coach Mel Rosen.

Rose was such a good person in this book, I thought Eric was good for her, I am glad for the kind of relationship that they had and the acceptance from her father. Don't want to give away to much of the storyline so go ahead and read. This book is a definite must read. Great job.

A COMING OF AGE STORY....true and intense!!!

This storyline to me reflects real life issues and decisions our young people deal with everyday. JSaint to me gives views from both sides...what happens when you make decisions with thought what the end result will be, and then what happens if you make decisions to hastily what the end result will be.

Great page turner with Good, Bad and down right Ugly situations but then, as young people we learn from our experiences.

Great job Jimmy!....I would love a sequel to see what's next. :-)

This book was so hard to finish I practical fell asleep reading it. The main characters were stupid and the story was not believeable. There is no way a stripper is a virgin and a man who is supposedly "king of the streets" that soft. This whole book was boring and a joke. please don't waste your money and buy it.

Birmingham Alabama was a key location in the Civil Rights Movement. This book covers a time when issues came to a head. There were nation changing events occurring in Birmingham that were heard by, and affected, the entire country.

'Bought this as a gift for a colleague and she loved it. This volume definitely gives one of the best overviews of what happened in Birmingham in 1963 that I've seen thus far. Great book!

The book is incredible, has fine details on covers, perfectly preserved and the Minotauro Edition is amazing, well written (helps a lot it's a great story, but the translation is really good so the book keeps your attention). Very nice product for spanish readers.
